1. Why should I buy a divan?
Top
Our divans provide a flexible, responsive platform so that the mattress springs and upholstery can respond to individual body weight, shape and size. In recent years, the fashion has tended towards bedstead frames, but partner your Vi-Spring mattress with a divan technically designed to compliment it and you will have the most comfortable bed in the world.
Yes! Each generation gets taller and heavier due to diet and exercise. In the 1960’s, a double bed (135cm) was the equivalent of two cot mattresses placed together, plus 15cm. Hardly the right recipe for a good nights sleep. We turn about 35-50 times per night in our sleep to rest and restore each set of muscles in turn. The more room you have to do this without disturbing your partner the better.
3. Is bed linen freely available for bigger beds?
Top
Yes. Nearly all department stores, bed and linen specialists offer a wide selection of sizes, colours and styling options. King size and super king size beds up to 210cm square can be accommodated too. If you experience any difficulty in finding correct size linen, Vi-Spring can put you in touch with a supplier.
4. Can I buy any headboard for my bed?
Top
Yes. Your Vi-Spring bed will be delivered with standard U.K. fittings unless you order a Vi-Spring headboard at the same time. In this case, it will be fitted with special fittings for use with the superior, fully upholstered boards that we supply as standard.
5. Can I buy a headboard to match my bed?
Top
Yes. Vi-Spring produce a range of exclusive headboards which are upholstered in fabrics to match your Vi-Spring divan set. They are supplied as standard on a full board covering the end of the divan (U.K. prong type fittings can be supplied upon request) for a luxurious finish to your
Vi-Spring bed. Alternatively, our craftsmen can upholster your headboard in your own upholstery fabric – ask your Vi-Spring stockist for details.
6. Are firmer beds better for you?
Top
It’s emphatically not true that harder beds are better. A softer bed can still provide correct support for your back whilst avoiding the pins and needles numbness caused by pressure points from a bed which is too hard.
7. What is the difference between the Bedstead range and the Core range?
Top
The beds within the Vi-Spring Bedstead range are specially designed to provide you with optimum levels of support and comfort if you are partnering your
Vi-Spring mattress with a bedstead frame.
8. Can I buy the bed I tried in the hotel?
Top
Sorry, but no. The contract range of mattresses is produced to a different specification to be fully compliant with the contract fire regulations.
Vi-Spring Customer Services will be pleased to tell you which bed in the core range closely matches the bed that you slept on.
