Our mattress support guidelines
- Up to 11 stones - Soft support
- 11-16 stones - Medium support
- Above 16 stones - Firm support
Too Soft: the spine bows downwards, putting pressure around the hips.
Too Firm: the spine bows upwards, focusing pressure around shoulders and knees.
Perfect Support: the spine is straight, the entire body gently cradled and evenly supported. Sweet dreams.
Combination / Zip and Link Beds
Vi-Spring Combination and Zip and Link mattresses allow you to create two perfect individual sleep experiences in one special bed.
By specifying your mattress with a different spring tension in each side – either soft/medium or medium/firm - partners can both enjoy their own ideal Vi-Spring sleeping experience.*
Zip and Link creates the ultimate individually tailored support with two separate sprung edge divans and mattresses in one. They can be simply separated into two singles if needed.

Divan Heights
Choose from three different divan heights, depending on the style of your bedroom and your preferences about ease of access to your bed.
The 17cm* shallow sprung divan (shown on tapered legs in beech)
The 25cm* medium depth sprung divan (shown on Shepherd castors)
The 31cm* full depth sprung divan (shown on Shepherd castors)(Full depth divans can be fitted with drawers). The full depth Viceroy Divan is 33.5cm.
*The divan height stated is from the bottom edge to the top edge. The 'doming' effect of the upholstery fillings will add approximately 4cm to this dimension if measured at the centre. The addition of Shepherd castors will add 7cm, or if lockable castors are fitted, 8.5cm to the height from the floor to the bottom edge of the divan.
Special Requests
Making beds entirely by hand means we can accommodate all sorts of individual requests. If you would like a unique bed created to a particular shape, or with unique fillings, or to your own personal design, we will do all we can to meet your needs.
